EveryMatrix has announced a deal with Norsk Tipping to provide a range of in-house and aggregated content and bespoke casual game development.

The company has shared that the deal spans two main business areas. The first will see aggregation platform SlotMatrix provide Norsk Tipping and its players with a range of third-party online casino content.

A Record-Breaking Deal for SlotMatrix

The deal has been noted as the largest in SlotMatrix’s history. It will also provide new and existing in-house titles from company-owned studios.

This marks an extension of a long-running partnership between Norsk Tipping and EveryMatrix. The companies first signed an agreement in 2016, and EveryMatrix’s CasinoEngine platform has powered the Norsk Tipping casino offering since.

Ebbe Groes, CEO and Co-Founder of EveryMatrix commented, “I’m delighted Norsk Tipping, one of our most valued partners, has chosen to continue to put their trust in us after almost 10 years of collaboration, and we look forward to even more years working together.”

In addition to utilizing SlotMatrix, Norsk Tipping will also use EveryMatrix Games to push third-party content for its ‘Yezz’ vertical. Yezz provides what’s described as a ‘range of entertaining, mobile-first casual games that appeal to next-generation players.’ The release also notes that Yezz players typically have longer session times.

Lars Martin Ottesen, Casino Product Manager at Norsk Tipping, said, “We are glad to extend our partnership with EveryMatrix to be able to source casino content that matches our ambitions for years to come. We are confident that EveryMatrix’s expertise will provide great value for Norsk Tipping and support us in our overall content strategy.”

“We look forward to developing the Yezz category further with EveryMatrix as an aggregator of high-quality games that are entertaining and with longer duration,” added Svein-Erik Sæther, Product Manager for Yezz at Norsk Tipping.

The State-Owned Entity Not Immune to Fines

In October 2024, Norsk Tipping was fined NOK 4.5 million by the Norwegian Gambling and Foundation Authority Lotteritilsynet for an error in which a player was paid NOK 25 million in error.

The error resulted from an overpayment on Tipping’s KongKasino, which was meant to have a maximum prize of NOK 100,000 and a jackpot of NOK 5 million. The state-run operator did not discover the error until the player notified Norsk Tipping of the mistake.

The regulator acknowledged the potential danger to the individual should it have been paid out to a user who was at risk or experiencing harm from gambling. It commented, “Norsk Tipping did not have good enough security measures linked to prize payouts at KongKasino when the error occurred, and this is a serious system failure.

It continued, “They have subsequently introduced measures, and we have included that in the assessment of the fee.”

The partnership marks EveryMatrix’s first entry into Croatia, further diversifying its regulated market portfolio.

The new EveryMatrix powered omnichannel tech stack will replace ArenaCasino’s existing casino and sports platforms and transform its shop estate and online brand, providing retail, online and mobile customers with the ultimate, seamless multi-channel experience including a new single wallet.

Ebbe Groes, CEO & co-founder, EveryMatrix, said: “Partnering with a brand as respected as Arena to roll out our first omnichannel offering is a natural fit and builds on the significant momentum we’ve enjoyed at OddsMatrix and across the Group.

“Today’s news marks the first of many chapters in our omnichannel story and we’re confident our advanced turnkey products will elevate the everyday experiences of ArenaCasino players while improving the operational efficiencies of our new multi-channel partner.”

EveryMatrix has partnered with BetBlocker and the Responsible Gaming Foundation (RGF) as part of a collaborative project to support safer gambling in Malta.

Launched as part of European Safer Gambling Week 2024, the project will see a Maltese version of BetBlocker’s blocking software created, supporting players in Malta looking to manage their gambling access. The partnership will also help raise awareness of the service.

“We’re delighted to be able to support BetBlocker and the RGF with this important initiative in Malta, particularly in time for Safer Gambling Week,” commented Jake Cachia, Head of Compliance at EveryMatrix.

“EveryMatrix is proud of its commitment to safer gambling and player protection while producing market-leading gaming solutions, and partnerships such as underlining how crucial it is to keep making a difference.”

A UK-registered charity, BetBlocker blocks a device from accessing over 85,000 gambling websites and 1,500 gambling apps. A free-to-use app, the service can be used anonymously and it currently supports tens of thousands of active users.

Duncan Garvie, Founder and Trustee for BetBlocker, noted: “One of the biggest challenges for BetBlocker is ensuring that a technologically complex app is as simple as possible for users to set up. Currently, BetBlocker can take a user from download to blocked in under two minutes.

“But that is only the case where the user finds the set-up instructions easy to engage with. Where a user is able to access BetBlocker in the language that they are most confident in, the chances of them converting to an active block is far higher.

Garvie continued: “We’re really grateful to EveryMatrix and the RGF for their partnership on this project. It significantly improves the options for Maltese players and will go a long way in terms of raising awareness of the support that BetBlocker offers amongst MGA licensees.

“We hope that in the future, the MGA will advance their player protection standards with the inclusion of requirement for licensees to signpost blocking software to ensure players are aware of this option.”

Kevin O’Neill, General Manager for the Responsible Gaming Foundation, added: “The Responsible Gaming Foundation is proud to collaborate with BetBlocker and Everymatrix on this initiative, furthering our mission to support safer gambling practices in Malta.

“Translating BetBlocker into Maltese is a significant step towards accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that players can effectively manage their gambling habits in their native language.

“This project demonstrates the power of partnerships in enhancing player protection and underscores the importance of providing players with tools that promote responsible decision-making.

“As we launch this initiative during European Safer Gambling Week 2024, we remain committed to contributing to an environment where innovative solutions, such as BetBlocker, can meaningfully impact safeguarding our community.”

EveryMatrix has tailored jackpots to specific players by adding Personal Jackpots to its JackpotEngine

The new jackpot system will allow EveryMatrix’s operator partners to offer jackpots that are tailored to specific players, learning and adapting to unique preferences for each player such as preferred spend, betting levels and playing styles.

Stian Enger Pettersen, Head of Casino, EveryMatrix, stated: “EveryMatrix Personal jackpots represent the next layer of innovation, providing our customers with even more exciting opportunities to captivate players and drive long-term loyalty.

“By tailoring the jackpot experience to each player’s unique needs, Personal Jackpots create a deeper level of engagement and foster greater loyalty. This also unlocks a new realm of customised gaming experiences that resonate with players on a profound level.”

Helping to nurture a stronger connection between players and the casino brands they use, Personal Jackpots creates a jackpot prize that can only be claimed by the one player it has been tailored to. The more players place wagers, the more their Personal Jackpot grows.

EveryMatrix’s JackpotEngine service supports both its CasinoEngine and SlotMatrix aggregation platforms, allowing Personal Jackpots to be accessed via the over 30,000 games from more than 330 game studios offered within these platforms.

Each jackpot is presented to players as ready-made, in-game widgets displaying jackpot pools, updated in real-time, which players can minimise if they prefer.

Earlier this week, EveryMatrix announced its Q3 2024 results, reporting an over 60% increase in net revenue across the quarter. Quarterly casino net revenue rose by 78% compared to the same period last year to €23.8m, with EBITDA increasing by 95% YoY to €14.9m.

CEO Ebbe Groes commented: “The last few months have been some of the busiest since we founded the company 16 years ago; continuing to drive record GGR for our customers, launching more tier-one operators and making two significant acquisitions that have instantly added value to the wider group and that will future-proof both our sports and games divisions.”

EveryMatrix has stated that it achieved another quarterly net revenue record in the third quarter of 2024, increasing by more than 60% compared to the same period last year.

The group also highlighted two acquisitions in the past five months that have bolstered its business moving forward: FSB Technology in June and Fantasma Games in October.

CEO Ebbe Groes noted the past few months have been some of the busiest for the company since it was founded and that the recent deals should bring “even more growth and profitability”.

Publishing its Q3 results, EveryMatrix reported a quarterly high in net revenue of €45m, up 66% year-over-year. EBITDA stood at €23m, a 71% increase YoY with a margin of 52%.

The group noted that its sixth consecutive 50%-plus quarterly profit margin was supported by “new customer launches, continued growth in its core sports and casino business units and further bolstered by strong sports trading margins”.

Acquisition impact

EveryMatrix expects its growth trajectory to continue following the acquisitions of FSB and Fantasma Games.

Fantasma Games was added last month, but the group expects the integration of its team to bring “strong commercial, technical and creative skills” to the business, as well as titles that are already live with over 250 operators in more than 50 countries globally and its market distribution to boost its presence in growing markets such as North America.

As for FSB, EveryMatrix noted that the deal has added approximately 15% additional gross gaming revenue (GGR) to its sportsbook business volumes with customer migration on schedule, which includes BetGoodwin agreeing to expand the use of EveryMatrix’s turnkey sports and casino technology.

The group also said that FSB has “strengthened key areas of the business, including the OddsMatrix sportsbook, by doubling the trading and quants team” enhancing personalisation within managed odds and risk services.

Groes commented: “The last few months have been some of the busiest since we founded the company 16 years ago; continuing to drive record GGR for our customers, launching more tier-one operators and making two significant acquisitions that have instantly added value to the wider group and that will future-proof both our sports and games divisions.

“As a result of these deals, we expect to see even more growth and profitability as we migrate more FSB customers to our technologies and our Games division accelerates production and distribution to become a significant global studio.

“We are the clear frontrunner when it comes to being the fastest growing igaming supplier.”
